Liquids with a pH value from 0 to 7 is acid, whereas over 7 it is alkaline. Mineral water should be as neutral (i.e. as near to 7) as possible. The pH for pure water at 25 °C (77 °F) is close to 7.0. High acidity over a long time may help erode teeth. Adding CarbonDioxide(C02),like in sparkling water, to a water increases its acidity.
Doctors recommend drinking mineral water with a pH of more than 7.0, which is alkaline, because human blood pH is in a narrow range of 7.30 to 7.45. The more alkaline the water the more oxygen it contains, so alkaline water helps keep oxygen levels high.
Sort all waters by Acidity.
