Fluoride is necessary for building bones and teeth. Teeth with fluoride are less prone to caries (thus tooth paste containing fluoride). It is used together with Calcium (Ca++) and Vitamin D to treat osteoporosis.
On the other hand, fluoride is higly reactive and should be taken with care.
Fluoride is purposely added to some bottled water. If so, the label should say so. In addition, bottled water that is not labeled as containing fluoride may contain up to 2.4 milligrams per liter of fluoride.
Sort all waters by Fluoride.
